GridHub AI
Less typing. More doing.
An assistant that works inside your workspace: it finds the tool, prepares the entry and explains your numbers — then waits for you to confirm anything that writes.
GridHub AI is in development
What it does
Finds the right tool
You say “log two eggs for breakfast”; it works out that this is the nutrition diary and not the grocery budget.
It chooses from a fixed list of known actions, so it cannot invent a screen that does not exist.
Prepares the entry
Reads the amount, the category and the date out of your sentence, and fills those fields for you.
Anything it cannot read stays empty and is left for you to complete.
Answers from your records
Totals, balances, unpaid invoices and upcoming deadlines — read from the data already on your device.
Answers are calculated from your records, not generated prose that might be wrong.
Asks before writing
A write becomes a confirmation card listing exactly what will be saved. Nothing changes until you confirm.
Cancel at that step and nothing is written — not even locally.
How a request runs
You type or speak
Everyday language, in your own words. No command syntax to learn.
Speech runs through a local recogniser after an optional download; typing needs no download at all.
It maps the request to a known action
Your sentence is matched against the actions the app actually supports, across the sixteen tools.
Unrecognised requests are refused rather than guessed at. There is no open-ended code execution.
You review the change
For anything that writes, you see the fields, the amount and the date before it is saved.
Read-only questions skip this step and answer directly.
It saves locally, then syncs
The record is written to this device first, like every other edit in GridHub.
It then syncs to your private workspace when you are online — the same sync engine, unchanged.
Private by design
Optional model download
Nothing is downloaded until you choose to install the model.
Runs on your device
Supported voice and text commands are processed in the browser, not by a cloud AI service.
Works offline after setup
Once installed, supported commands do not need a connection.
No metered AI credits
Local inference has no per-command API cost, so there is nothing to meter.
AI availability depends on device and browser compatibility, and initial setup requires an internet connection.
What it deliberately does not do
- · It does not write anything without a confirmation step you can cancel.
- · It does not listen continuously — voice input starts when you start it and stops when you stop it.
- · It does not invent actions. Requests outside the supported set are refused, not approximated.
- · It does not run on every device or browser; compatibility is checked before installation.
- · It does not change how your records sync — the same sync engine still moves your data between devices.
Questions
Is GridHub AI available yet?
Not yet. It is in development: the interface and the on-device model integration exist, but we have not finished verifying them end to end on real devices. We will switch it on only once a download, a typed command and a spoken command all work reliably.
Will GridHub AI cost extra?
No. When it ships it will be included in every plan, including Free. Your plan decides which applications you can open, not whether you can use the assistant.
Does GridHub AI send my voice to a server?
The design is on-device. After an optional download, the model and speech recognition run inside your browser, so supported commands do not need a cloud AI service. Your records still sync to your private workspace the way they do today — the assistant does not change how sync works.
Can AI change my records without asking?
No. Anything that writes — an expense, an invoice, a task — is shown first as a confirmation card listing exactly what will be saved. Nothing is written until you confirm, and you can cancel at that step.
Does it work offline?
Supported commands are designed to work offline once the model has been downloaded. Initial setup and the download itself need an internet connection, and behaviour depends on the device and browser.
